Privacy Notice
1. Who we are
EchoMCQ.com is operated by Sycamore Healthworks Ltd ("we", "us"). This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use EchoMCQ, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@echomcq.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — the email address you register with and a securely hashed password.
- Usage and progress — your quiz answers, scores, and study progress, so we can show your performance and resume your place.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we receive only a token and limited transaction details needed to manage your subscription.
- Technical and advertising data — standard log data (such as browser type and approximate region) and, where you arrive from an advertisement, a click identifier used to measure whether an ad led to a sign-up. See "Cookies and advertising" below.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to operate your account and subscription, deliver the product, provide support, measure and improve the service and our advertising, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We process it to perform our contract with you and for our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.
4. Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We also use measurement cookies and click identifiers to understand whether our advertising (for example Google Ads) results in sign-ups. This lets us count conversions; it is not used to build profiles of you for third parties. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run EchoMCQ (for example Stripe for payments and Google for advertising measurement), and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Your choices and rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account information, and request a copy of your data, by emailing support@echomcq.com. Depending on where you live (including under US state privacy laws and Canadian privacy law such as PIPEDA), you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of certain uses of your information. We will honor applicable rights requests.
7. Retention
We keep your account and progress data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
8. How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, tell us. Email support@echomcq.com with "Data protection complaint" in the subject line and describe what happened. You do not need to use any particular form of words.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay, keep you informed if it is going to take a while, and tell you the outcome with an explanation of how we reached it.
Sycamore Healthworks Ltd is a UK company, so this right is set out in section 164A of the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and applies wherever you live. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint at any time, whether or not you raise it with us first. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to complain to your own state, provincial, or national privacy regulator.
